It’s very common that someone will come to you for help. Is there anything wrong of helping somebody of course not .It is always good to be generous and helpful. However to the one who ask for help may not be good always in the long run. If this problems becomes  habitual you are developing a tendency of tolerating instead of helping someone to learn how to be independent. Asking help from other people excuses them from finding the lasting solution to their problem. It creates a negative impression to others that you are always in need.

The story of giving a net instead of fish to someone makes the point clear. Giving what a person immediately what he need  instead of helping the person works it out will end him on the same boat all through out his life. Providing him a net and let him find fish more than  that he requires for a day give in unlimitted resources.
